ABOUT

History

Blazin’ Arrows Archery Club Inc. began in 2016 when a young archer looking for opportunities to compete and improve, an archery shop owner willing to provide the space and the services needed and wish to expand archery in the state of Wisconsin all came together at the right time. Through hard work and persistence, they found over 20 other archers looking for the same opportunities and the club officially became affiliated with the Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) Program in May of that year.

Within a month, numerous Blazin’ Arrows members completed in the first ever S3DA tournament in the state of Wisconsin. Being the first S3DA club in the state was a tremendous opportunity to help new archers and their parents learn about how archery shoots and tournaments operated. There were many “firsts” that summer, as the team met many new friends, attended many local outdoor 3D shoots, learned and grew as archers, and built lasting friendships.

By the end of our first summer, the members of Blazin’ Arrows elected our club leadership and formed committees that would lay the foundation of a growing organization. In September of 2018, Blazin Arrows Archery Club became an official non-profit 501(c)3 community organization.

The club continued to grow, more and more archers began to compete in 3D and target competitions on the local, state, and – for some - even the national level. As more and more archers began participating in competitions, the collective confidence of the team continued to grow. For those who wanted to compete, opportunities were abound. For those more focused on improving their skills or competing with themselves, our coaches provided tam members with regular and consistent training.

Blazin’ Arrows has continued to grow and has over doubled in size since becoming incorporated as a non-profit. We have seen many of our archers grow with the club and graduate, and have seen many new archers experience the thrill of their first arrow.

Whether you are new to archery or have been shooting for years, archery is a sport that rewards those who are willing to practice and those who are open to learning. Our coaches and our archers are all committed to the sport and to each other, and we are continually looking for new archers to welcome to the team.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Blazin’ Arrows team, please contact us at info@blazinarows.org or stop by a practice to talk to one of our coaches, board members, or parents.
